The Florida Chautauqua Theatre Board of Directors is excited to invite you to its production of Disney’s “Aladdin.” Based on the iconic animated film with an Academy Award-winning score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, this is one musical that is sure to send audiences soaring on a magic carpet ride filled with romance and adventure. When the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful Princess Jasmine, he uses a genie’s magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Of course, it is not smooth sailing since the wicked, heartless, egomaniac, Jafar and his nasty parrot sidekick, Iago, are there to thwart Aladdin at every turn. A group of beautiful merchants aided by an ensemble of townspeople guide you through this exciting musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love.
