The Florida Chautauqua’s greatest strength is that it is a volunteer based organization. We currently utilize between 75-100 volunteers contributing thousands of work hours along with a dedicated Board of Directors. We are fortunate to have a variety of volunteers from those who have worked diligently since the organization’s inception, to the committed community worker who began volunteering a few weeks ago. Our volunteer base is as diverse as our community and includes all socio-economic backgrounds, races, and ages from the very young to committed great grandparents.

Sound Production Volunteer
There is usually a long list of tasks waiting to be accomplished and we welcome new volunteers!
We are usually looking for assistance with:
- Pouring sodas in the concession stand
- Passing out programs and taking tickets
- Sewing costumes; this includes sewing on buttons, hemming or creating costumes from pattern to completion
- Painting and building sets
- Changing light bulbs
- Cleaning
- Weed eating/cleaning the area behind the theatre
- Folding, stuffing and stamping letters
- Folding programs
- And even washing the clothes! Yes, all of the costumes must be laundered and put away following each production.
