Intimate listening room concerts to be held every Friday in May

Main Street DeFuniak Springs, in partnership with The Florida Chautauqua Theatre, announced today its “Music on Main” concert series. Taking place every Friday in May from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy a listening room experience in the historic theatre located at 840 Baldwin Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32435.

The concert series comes on the heels of a successful 2020 holiday season for Main Street DeFuniak Springs.

“By hosting new and exciting events in our Main Street district, we give locals and regional guests the opportunity to discover, or in some cases rediscover, downtown DeFuniak Springs,” said Main Street DeFuniak Springs Executive Director, Chelsea Blaich. “We have a variety of locally owned and operated businesses. We encourage guests to make an evening out of these events. Shop our retail merchants before the concerts and grab a bite to eat at one of our numerous restaurants.”

The lineup of musical acts includes regional artists and bands that will perform hour-long sets.

May 7th – Anthony Peebles Trio
May 14th – Weston T Hine
May 21st – Longleaf Drive
May 28th – The Wortheys

The listening room experience will allow guests the opportunity to hear the stories and inspirations behind each artist’s music.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children and are available at here. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Accommodations have been made to allow for parties to socially distance.
